Looking to Spend Holi with the Person You Met on V-Day?

The Holi countdown has begun, but you have just met someone new on Valentine’s Day? Fret not. While the advertisements for Holi bashes have already begun, we are sure you are also looking for ways to strengthen the bond with your newfound love to celebrate your first Holi.

Ways to strengthen the bond in a little span

The time between Valentine’s Day and Holi is too little to know a person completely, but it doesn’t really make sense to wait for a whole year and celebrate Holi the year next. Life is short, why not make the most of the time in between to celebrate the colour of festivals with the person you met on Valentine’s Day?

Try to spend more time

Now that the COVID-19 restrictions have loosened up, try and spend some more time face-to-face. Physical meetings are way better than virtual ones. You get to know the vibe of the other person, their movements, approaches, how he/she talks to other people, especially those lower in rank and many such things.

Talk about likes and dislikes

It’s never too early to discuss the likes and dislikes among two people who are dating or might see a future together. Get to know each other better which will give you an idea if you can get along together. Celebrating a festival means a lot to many of us, and you can decide if you can really go forward.

Introduce them to your friends

Now that you are getting a chance to attend a great, happening Holi party with your partner that you usually attend with friends, it’s a must that you introduce him/her to your friends’ group. There’s no fun in attending a Holi party or for that matter any parties without your favourite bunch of people. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fans, anyone?

Invite them to your home

Plans are going on at your place for a Holi get-together and you want your partner to attend it too? Don’t surprise your parents on the day itself amid so many people. Rather invite him/her for a dinner with your family when all can indulge in hearty chitchat. You never know, your parents might just even back you up in front of your Phupha Ji and Tai Ji!

It’s travel time

Take a break and go on a weekend trip together. Travelling together is the best way to know a person’s choices and nature, and I am pretty sure you would understand if it’s a match or a pass!
